MiChaela Barker
The Founder of Matcha Scrubs, is a dual MPH/MBA student at Yale University. As the daughter of an OB/GYN, MiChaela saw firsthand the struggles that her mother faced with scrub caps that were uncomfortable, too small, and couldn’t accommodate her hairstyles. As a healthcare worker herself, MiChaela understands the importance of innovation and inclusivity in healthcare. She had the idea to create Matcha Scrubs during the height of the pandemic as she watched first line responders navigate saving lives while wearing uncomfortable PPE. Ever since then, MiChaela has worked tirelessly to bring her vision of an inclusive, comfortable, and innovative solution to life.
